Hotel-Restaurant Kriva Cuprija

Completely restored in 2006, our modern hotel is named after a crooked bridge; without sacrificing the pleasures of modern life, you can become caught up in the 17th century architecture.

We are conveniently located next to the River Radobolja, some 70 metres upstream from the famous old bridge after which we are named, close to the cultural attractions and the city centre. Every room features a view of the beautiful surroundings.

The hotel was built entirely out of natural materials such as stone and wood, and as such perfectly fits the atmosphere of the old town. This aspect ensures that the natural environment is not disturbed or disrupted, offering an excellent blend of the modern and ancient - the perfect base for a stay is this historic city.

Food & beverage

Our restaurant was opened in May 2005. It offers local and international cuisine which will please even the most demanding gourmets. The menu has 75 dishes, including lamb roasted under a baking lid, Bosnian saslik, a large number of specialities of sea and freshwater fish, and 9 sorts of salad.

For dessert, the guests can enjoy chef's signature dishes: crepes, hurmasice (date-shaped Bosnian pastry), baclava and tufahija (apple stuffed with walnuts and whipped cream).

The restaurant also has a wine cellar with a list of over 60 different sorts of wine including homemade wines from Herzegovina. The prices of the dishes range from EUR 3 to EUR 9, which is the price of the speciality of the house - the Kriva cuprija steak.

Our hotel has 3 suites - 2 of which are high economy and one business class - as well as 13 rooms. Please check availability for a full list of facilities. All the rooms have a terrace or balcony with a view of the Old Town and the river Radobolja. Guests are offered massage services upon request.

Area information

Our hotel is located directly in the city centre, providing the unique prospect of travelling through 3 different civilisations: Turkish; Austro-Hungarian; and modern Eastern European. During the summer, guests can also enjoy a tour of Herzegovina from Blagaj, the 15th century Bosnian castle and Dervish monastery, to Kravice waterfalls.
